Motor Vehicle Regulation for Illinois Farmers

Friday, February 23, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Trucking regulations are complicated, and farm exemptions compound that complexity. Seems everyone has a different answer to your question. Come join us on Friday, February 23rd to sort truth from conjecture and fact from rumor.

The Warren-Henderson, Knox and McDonough County Farm Bureaus are sponsoring an “On-the-Road” seminar that focuses on trucking laws, both new and old, specifically for farmers. Kevin Rund, Senior Director of Local Government for the Illinois Farm Bureau, will be our featured speaker. Kevin has specialized in farm transportation issues for the Illinois Farm Bureau® for more than 35 years. He will bring you up to date on the latest rules regarding truck regulations.

We will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Knox Agri-Center in Galesburg and Kevin will cover these and some of the more-established—but still misunderstood—rules such as the USDOT Number, UCR registrations, and driver’s license classifications. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and will receive take-home materials covering these topics.

The seminar is free courtesy of Farm Bureau, but advance registration is requested. Come join us and get your trucking questions answered. Call 309-734-9401 or email us at whfb@whfarmbureau.org to reserve your place at the On-the-Road Seminar.
