Monmouth College Host Families Program
Tuesday, May 24, 2016
Monmouth College is looking for families from Monmouth
and adjoining areas to serve as host families for our International
Students in the fall and spring semesters of academic year. Monmouth College’s host family program serves as an educational experience for both the family and also the International Student who the families volunteer to host. The program helps students learn about the many cultures that exist in the United States and at the same time helps individuals or families who choose to volunteer to learn about another culture or cultures. Unlike host family programs in many other Colleges in the country, Monmouth College’s program does not require its students to live
with their host families. Students live on campus. The program only aims for the families to share their holiday traditions, care, and support for someone who might be thousands of miles away from their homes, so the student gets a feeling of a home away from home.
If you are interested in being a host parent, please visit our Monmouth College Office of Intercultural Life website and fill out a Host Family application.
For any Questions regarding the program please call Monmouth College Intercultural Life at 309-457-2428, or e-mail at iclife@monmouthcollege.edu
