Father’s Day 5K

5K at Lake Storey. This event features finishers medals, water bottles, and T shirts for each participant. Light refreshments food and water will be provided after the race. There will be a water station on the course. Mile markers on race course for mile 1, 2, & 3. LED race clocks at mile 1, 2, 3, & finish line. Music will be provided at finish line.
This race is professionally timed by J3 Timing. Services provided by J3 Timing include: chip timing at start/finish line, results emailed to runners, finisher photos of runners crossing finish line, kiosk with printed results (just type in your bib number to see your results ticket), instant results streamed online during race.
Proceeds from the race go to Defenders of Freedom. Defenders of Freedom is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization committed to supporting Post 9/11 Veterans with emergency financial assistance for a smooth transition to civilian life. Defenders of Freedom offers emergency financial assistance to wounded and transitioning Veterans, resume preparation, and employment searches. Additionally, they have Veteran initiated programs for peer mentoring. They continue to send care packages upon request from deployed Troops.
