Abingdon Community Festival

The Abingdon Community Festival is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a weekend of family fun on the festival grounds on the north edge of Abingdon along Route 41! Food, livestock shows, chicken & pig scrambles, Figure 8, and more!

Thursday, August 22

• 1pm:  Flowers & vegetable judging
• 1pm:  Arts & crafts judging
• 5:30pm:  Lil’ Mr. & Lil’ Miss Pageant

Friday, August 23

• 5pm – 9pm: Inflatable bounce house and amusements (10 different inflatables)
  • $20 arm band for the night
• 6pm:  Figure 8 Races ($10)

Saturday, August 24

• 8am:  Goat, sheep, swine, & beef judging
• 5pm – 9pm: Inflatable bounce house and amusements (10 different inflatables)
  • $20 arm band for the night
• 6pm:  Chicken & pig scrambles

Sunday, August 25

• 10am:  Baked goods judging
• 10am:  John R. Thurman Memorial Pee-Wee Livestock Show
  followed by Kids’ Events
• Bags Tournament
• 5pm:  Area’s Largest Baked Goods Auction
• 6:45pm:  presentation of trophies & awards
  followed by Livestock Auction
