
Joey Logano won the 57th running of the “Daytona 500”. It’s his first win in the Great American Race. Kevin Harvick was 2nd, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. came in 3rd. In his final “Daytona 500”, Jeff Gordon led the most laps, but finished 33rd after getting entangled in the final wreck of the day.
When the green flag flies this afternoon, Dale Earnhardt Junior tries to become the first driver since Sterling Marlin in 1994 and 1995 to win back-to-back “Daytona 500’s”.
Both of the Busch brothers are out of today’s “Daytona 500”. Kyle Busch will miss the Daytona 500 after suffering a leg injury in an accident during Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Daytona International Speedway. More from MRN by clicking here.
